From the moment that Kylie & Stephen came to our house to talk through the funeral of Angela , my mam , they showed so much sympathy & understanding. It’s only the day after my brother’s funeral, but I had to come here and thank Stephen and his family for the most beautiful funeral presented by Stephen, his wife and daughter Kylie. From our very first meeting with Kylie, to discuss our hopes and plans, then Stephen listening with such care as we presented Glenn’s full life as a dad, a grandad, a brother an uncle, a son, a best friend then delivered beautifully with such warmth and humour by all who attended at Whitley Bay. Stephen even introduced little ideas very personal to Glenn which we loved.
One of the other stand outs for us was how we got to see Glenn, the days before the funeral. It’s a very personal thing to us all, and we found visiting him in a bed, with his personal blanket in a bedroom setting a very comfortable experience. Personally I’ve never had that before and in the last few years sadly, it’s a situation I’ve been in too often. But sitting with my brother, having a cup of tea and holding his hand, helped me and the rest of the family greatly. Stephen was also exceptionally accommodating on how often our big family visited and when.
Thank you, I had to give you a cuddle as I left, because you did Glenn proud and you did us, his family and friends proud.
